A lesson about Tawakkul

In May 2016, I launched my website and Facebook page, snapped a few photos, and learned the ropes of online orders—all while keeping my day job. I wasn’t ready to take the leap yet.

Then, one night in June, after hours of work, doubt hit me hard: Who do you think you are? You’re leaving your career for something totally new? No one knows you. Why would anyone buy? There are a million online hijab shops—forget it and play it safe.

Right then, a notification pinged on my phone. Someone—someone I didn’t know, from New York—placed an order. My first real customer. And suddenly, I felt this wasn’t just chance. It was a reminder from Allah—He’s Al-Razzaq, the Provider. My job was to show up and do my part. The rest? In His hands.
