Chasing the Idea of Having It All
For years, I chased the normalized idea of having it all—excelling at home, with my kids, in my marriage, career, friendships, and family. I thought if I worked harder and pushed more, I could make it happen. But all that running left me feeling like I was never enough, that I always had to do more.
Then it hit me: I already have what truly makes me content. I was overlooking the bigger picture! I want to embrace my journey and fully enjoy it while striving to become the best version of myself. This isn’t giving up; it’s leaning in. Leaning into moments with loved ones, into the gifts of health, time, and energy. These are just as valuable as any achievement.
Lessons in Faith and Resilience
This year, the ongoing inhumane genocide in Gaza brought another epiphany. It deepened my faith, reminding me of Allah SWT’s wisdom— that we can find gratitude even in hardship, and trust that we are in the Best Hands no matter how things look like on the surface. I’m deeply inspired by the resilience of our brothers and sisters in Gaza, who continue to embody strength and unwavering faith amidst unimaginable hardship. Strengthening my faith means daily acts of submission, gratitude, and trust.
Faith isn’t a destination; it’s a journey. It’s built on how we rise after falling. Your trials, triumphs, and even “failures” are proof you’re running your race. Just like the sun and moon follow their own orbits, each of us has a unique track in life. Be kind to yourself—you’re right where you need to be.

Professionally, I’ve also embraced change. Over the past year, I’ve experimented with different hijab fabrics and styles, rediscovered my own aesthetic, and focused on helping other women find theirs.
